About LITTER (from their website): RACHAEL AND MACKENZIE, SISTERS AND DESIGNERS OF ALL THINGS LITTER We founded LITTER in 2009, after creating one simple yet beautiful headpiece out of a broken necklace. We used the headpiece as a styling piece in a photo for our blog, but shortly after we posted, we were contacted to participate in a jewelry show with our design. We began scouring flea markets, thrift stores, and our own grandmother's treasure chest looking for remnants of chain and costume jewelry parts. Our one-of-a-kind creations were a huge success at the show, and from there we were inspired to create LITTER.

We started with the one-of-a-kind headpieces, and then quickly moved into body jewelry, and shoe jewelry. As friends and fellow bloggers started wearing our pieces, notable stylists and fashion magazines came calling. Within the first two months of opening our doors, we were featured in ELLE Magazine for our Shoe Jewelry designs. Soon after came Harper's Bazaar, and Vogue. Within our first year, we were discovered by Lauren Santo Domingo of Vogue, and asked to collaborate with CFDA award nominee Christian Cota for his SS2011 New York Fashion Week presentation. After the success of New York Fashion Week, we were again asked by designer Jasmine Di Milo to collaborate on her FW2011 Paris Fashion Week show, where we once again made every piece of jewelry custom to her collection.

Our designs have now been featured in major publications all over the world, worn by celebrities and been in the hands of some of fashion's biggest names. LITTER has grown fast and continues to evolve, but we keep the same passion for innovation and beautiful design in everything we create. 

LITTER is fun, and its experimental. It may not be for everyone, and that's just the way we want to keep it. OUR JEWELRY IS HANDMADE IN CALIFORNIA, USA.
